Selector Rod Joint and Pin – Late Style 2002

Product Description

This is a selector rod joint and pin for your late model 2002 with the stock 4-speed or 320i 5-speed.

** IMPORTANT NOTE if you have an early car (any ’02 prior to 03/74). Your car was cursed with a less-than-ideal shifting mechanism and this kit will not work as is. We highly recommend updating the shifting mechanism using the following parts:

-this kit.

-a lever from a later 2002 (or our “short shift lever”).

-a selector rod from a later 2002 or our Dual Shear Selector Rod

If you are not sure if your car has already been updated, you can check very easily when under your car. The early-style shifter had a linkage that attached to the shift lever via a dowel pin and set screw.
