IE Short Shift Kit – 4-Speed

Product Description

This lever will fit your late model 2002 after 02/1974.

** IMPORTANT NOTE if you have an early car (any ’02 prior to 03/74). Your car was cursed with a less-than-ideal shifting mechanism and this kit will not work as is. We highly recommend updating the shifting mechanism using the following parts:

-this kit.

-a late style selector rod joint and pin

-a selector rod from a later 2002 or our Dual Shear Selector Rod

If you are not sure if your car has already been updated, you can check very easily when under your car. The early-style shifter had a linkage that attached to the shift lever via a dowel pin and set screw.

This will also work well with E3/E9/E12/E21 4 & 5 speeds.

***Special note for E9 owners, you will need to update the selector rod and joint. We can make custom length DSSR.
