These starters are sourced from the S38 (E34 M5) engine or S14 (E30 M3) engine. Due to supply issues, which ever version is available at the time of your order will be sent. Both types bolt up to a M10 or M30 and offer the benefits stated below, one is slightly longer than the other (S38 vs. S14) They are much lighter -typically around 4 or 5 lbs. than a standard 2002 starter! They also offer higher torque.
Tii’s will need to fabricate a custom support bracket to fit.
