Semi Metallic:They stop the car well, tolerate heat and are not too dusty. They’re okay for drivers schools, but not intended for racing.

Ceramic: These brake pads are a step above semi-metallic pads. They stop the car well hot or cold, have greater heat tolerance, and are not too dusty. These are great for street performance and driver’s schools, but are not intended as a dedicated track pad.
